Leaving on a jet plane.....

Friday, as you may have noticed, I didn't do the Friday Fill-ins. I left around 6:45 a.m. taking Derek to the airport. He flew out to visit with his mother in North Carolina before having her surgery this morning.

His plane didn't leave until 11:00 a.m., but I wanted to leave in enough time in case there was traffic. When there isn't traffic, it takes about 2 hours to get to the Atlanta airport from where Derek lives. Instead of taking I-85 all the way, I went through Athens and hit GA-316. I shouldn't have done that. They have like 50billion red lights on that road.
So finally we got to Atlanta. No traffic except for the normal flow. No traffic jams. Nothing. We got to the airport around 8:45. We sat and waited. It was fun though. We watched the people. Let me tell you, there are plenty of weirdos and odd looking people that pass through Atlanta Airport.
Derek and I laughed at one point. There was a richy looking family walked up to admire the huge dinosaur skeleton (more on that in a second). The two young boys have sweaters around their shoulders. You know, the average prep. They were speaking in another language. Suddenly this little American boy that had been amazed at the dinosaur as well, walked up to one of the foreign boys and touched him and said "Look!! Dinosaur!" The little rich kid kinda looked at him and then at his mom with a look like "Why is that little American boy touching me!" It was quite humorous.
The clothes that some people wear to the airport is ridiculous. High heels. That would be a big negative for me. All that walking. I would want to be comfortable on my flight. Kudos to the flight attendants who have to wear them.
So anyway. Lets talk about this dinosaur for a second. We noticed it as soon as we got to the lobby, but when we sat down and had a side view, we noticed something a little disturbing about the skeleton. That was a male dinosaur. For lack of better description, it had a HUGE boner. LOL. Literally.
So yeah... it was a little more than most travelers could ask for. I know I wouldn't want to be a parent and have to explain to my children what that is if they asked. They could have just left that part off and let it be a female dinosaur. LOL.
So Derek is gone til Wednesday. *Tear* I can't wait til he gets home. I miss him so much!

Question: If you've ever been to the airport, what weird, funny or odd things did you see or experience???

Lol yes I've seen interesting things at airports. One time when I flew from brisbane to hamilton(small town in New zealand), there was this girl on the flight with me. I didn't notice her until we were going through customs on the other side. But she was about 25 or so, very nicely dressed: white pants and fluffy jacket and high heels, blonde hair etc. She must of had too much to drink on the plane because she was blind drunk. She could barely stand up. There were these nice Maori girls looking after her(they hadn't known her until the flight) and making sure she was kept upright and that she didn't drop her handbag. Then anyway they left her at some pillar and then she wet her pants. She was looking around all confused and then a security guy came and looked after her. It was funny and certainly entertaining while waiting in the huge line.
