I feel so sorry for those poor horses... sigh. some are worked to death, literally dropping on the street from exhaustion, heat, dehydration... it happened in Quebec city again this summer :-/
I've always thought taking a carriage ride would be so romantic. In the city, after dinner, with snow falling lightly. *sigh*. Alas, I've never been. Maybe someday. But I'd totally want a driver that took care if his animals properly!
