The Snow

So, I was so happy about getting 6 inches of snow. Now... I'm not so happy. The power went out Sunday night. It's Tuesday morning. It's still out. Luckily the roads were clear enough for me to come to work today too. I ventured out yesterday after lunch and came on to work for a couple of hours.
This morning I was taking D to work. Well, it was a road that wasn't quite cleared all the way. I got to one spot and saw there was ice and snow still on the road. Well, there was a lady coming from the other way. I was already on the ice and snow. She wouldn't stop. I put on breaks slightly.... Bad idea. I started sliding. I wasn't stopping. Luckily she got out of the way. Grrrr.....
So I dropped D off and came to work. He called later and said that his boss took his tractor down to clear the road where I about wrecked. D said that his boss went to dump the snow and ice off the side of the road and his breaks went out on the tractor. His boss was pissed because the people hadn't fixed the breaks right. D said the tractor went off the side of the road. I hope it didn't mess it up too bad!!
Because the power was still out last night, I went to sleep at about 8:00. That was too early. I was up at 4. Then again at 6. Now... I have a headache. Tonight, if I don't have power at the house I'll probably go stay with my brother. I've tried calling the power company numerous times.... The operator keeps saying that all networks are busy. Yeah.... just please get me some power people!
