Chronically TIRED!

Some of you may be wondering why I'm not posting a lot. Well, I am tired. That's it. I'm tired. I sleep at night. Here lately, I've found myself skipping classes just so I can stay at home or go home to sleep. I am that tired. I've become more aware that it's reaking havoc on my body. My muscles hurt and ache even if I haven't done anything. I looked up chronic tiredness. I'm pretty sure I'm chronically tired. I have a thyroid disorder and that was one of the things listed that could cause or be a reason for the tiredness. It has a few things that you can do for it like lifestyle change and an increas in physical activity. It also says something about using therapy for depression. Depression has ran across my mind too, but I don't feel depressed except for the tiredness. I wonder if subconsiously, I could be depressed because of my wreck.
I don't know. What I do know is that I could go take a nap right now.
Yesterday, I didn't go to class at all. My mom came and woke me up at 7 and asked if I was going to school. I told her no. So I went back to sleep. Then at about 10, I got a text message on my phone that woke me up. So I got up and had some breakfast. I didn't really have an appetite for anything. I ate some eggs though. I sat down and was texting with this friend and watching Dr. Phil. I started reading some more on the book I bought the other day. Its called the Thyroid Diet. A diet for people with thyroid disorders. I wasn't even able to read but a few pages before I was not able to hold my eyes open. I went back to bed. I slept until 12:30. So....lets add that up.. from 11:00p.m. to 7 a.m. (8 hours), from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. (3 hours), and from around 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (1 1/2 hours). So in all I slept 12 1/2 hours. That is not normal. After all that sleep, I was still tired within a couple of hours of waking the last time. I knew I needed to get up and come to class this morning, so I resorted to taking some medicine that would make me go to sleep. That seemed to help me a little.
I'm not getting any restorative sleep. I've been trying to read up on some relaxation things that will help me mellow out before bed. Now I just need to get into the practice of doign them.
Does anyone else have the problem of being chronically tired????

I am sorry that you are experiencing this tiredness. I really hope it gets better for you. Are you taking any vitamins? When I used to experience tiredness, I used a vitamin and it seemed to help.

Oh Keri!

I am sorry you are feeling like this!

I do feel tired most days but I just do something anything to get me going again!

Even just tidying up or having a walk - usually I come back and am full of life! Hopefully this might help you too!

I hope you're taking your medication for your thyroid, get it checked - soon! I wasted a few miserable years before I was diagnosed.

Thanks for visiting my site. I have Hashimoto's too! I was diagnosed about 12 years ago, so far i've been lucky with the medication. Hope you're feeling better soon.
