He or She?

Keep in mind here that I'm not trying to offend everyone, I've just got a question.
So I was at work today and this person came in. He/She is/was a man. I'm not exactly sure what to say "she" is. So I'll just say she. So she comes in. She carries a purse, dresses like a woman, and wears makeup. She's a very nice person. Her boyfriend is a little bitchy sometimes. Back to "she"... She has either gotten implants or is taking hormones to grow breats. Supposedly, she's saving up money to get a sex change. So.. here's the question: If she gets a sex change and becomes a full woman, are they still homosexual or are they now heterosexual? I asked someone at work and he said he thought they were still homosexuals. Anyone who has an opinion, please comment.

if/when she gets a sex change, becomes a woman and has a boyfriend, I would call her straight. JMHO.

Hi there: I am a civil rights attorney so I will explain to you. First of all, the term "homo" is extremely offensive and insensitive, so you should take that out of your title if you don't want to upset readers. Secondly, persons such as the one you describe are referred to as "transgendered." In the old days, we used terms like "transsexual" or "transvestite," but the correct term now is "transgender" to describe all persons who live and dress as the gender with which they identify which may be different than their anatomical gender. Whether the person is "gay" or "straight" is not only none of your business (or anyone else's business, other than hers and her partner's), it is really a very limited term as it applies to a transgendered individual. It is about the PERSON that they love, not that person's anatomy.

Janie, I appreciate your opinion, but would like you to understand that I wasn't trying to be offensive. My site is for my expression of free speech. I even said in the post that she was a very nice person. I was asking a simple question.

you know, this is a hot button for some and i understand the confusion. i have transgendered friends and many of them consider themselves of their new gender meaning that if she was born a woman and changed over to a man, she is now referred to as "he" and they are now in a heterosexual relationship.

if you think this is confusing, try being the person dating the person going through the change. it has a lot of nuances to it about sexuality and gender and identity!

i recommend reading Transister Radio. great book about this kind of topic. :)
